he contradicts himself a lot. i remember i saw ONA in rotterdam and he played purple rain extra long boring version after 3 songs...2 many old songs he started and didnt finish. I left the place after one hour...he bored me 2 death

he does the splits 14 times during rave un2 the year 2000.

Michael Jackson lost the plot before Prince, remember that. Prince may have lost his vigor on stage, but he gained craftsmanship and even more soul. He's still theatrical, albeit less than his heyday.

And...that's a good question...I can't do the splits..so who am I to question Prince and MJ? Hmmm?

MJ danced very good in the Jackons Reunion show, and showed sum ol stuff on the interview, he still gots it, maybe not as fast, but he still can du it.

Prince used to do dozens of splits in 1993.. then he tucked them back to just one for the Gold Tour song The Most Beautiful Girl in the World. As 1995 rolled out you didn't see any splits until the Rave2000 show when he (on a soft carpet) managed to more or less do 7 of the half-assed splits that I used to do back n the day. Prince's splits 86-91 were stage-marvelous with the combination turkish twists.

I still watch the D&P shows and marvel at how he was able to go from his knees into a split and up with such a heavy guitar in his hands. I asked someone at Paisley Park about it once and from what I was told, it had to do with the construction of the steel pin in the heel of his shoe that makes the splits easier. And post 1995 there were some changes to his boots made that don't allow for the splits anymore. I heard rumors that have never been confirmed (help) that wearing those boots all those years did damage to his lover legs.
