N*E*R*D last night in Brixton Superb show last night from Pharrell and Shay. As per the Edinburgh show we only got 3 songs of pure N*E*R*D before they bought out Justin Timberlake and it turned into a showcase type gig.
Either way it was a superb gig with one of the best atmospheres I've seen at the academy in years (yes, better than Prince in '98 !) ...oh and the missus is glad she got to see Jutin Trousersnake up close ! Gav

Yep, I went too. Shame Timberfake was there, he almost ruined it.
Pharrell shouted up at me near the beginning. He just pointed and said "Nice Stevie T-Shirt" - *was wearing my rather wuvverly new Stevie Wonder shirt*

You were down the front ? Ouch, it looked pretty mental down there. I found a nice spot half way up that allowed easy access to the bar Yeah, I know what you mean, a few people looked pissed off that Timberlake was there but to be fair he stayed back for some key moments like Rock Star and that superb ending of Lapdance. If I was Shay I'd be pissed off though as it looked like Timberlake and Pharrell were the front men. Gav ps - was it me or were Spymob particularly shit ? They should've head the beat box guy for half an hour as he was the DB's !

Oh that beatbox guy was AMAZING. He was called Killa Kela. It was absolutely hilarious when he came on during the show and Timberlake tried to do it with him. I was laughing my socks off. It was like watching Tina Turner in a singing competition with Paula Abdul.
I was at the front of the circle. Loads of space and a great view. It looked fun at the front of the floor though. Those girls pulled up to dance were a bit crap *sigh* I do get annoyed when I'm never given the chance to show off a bit Spymob just looked like clones of different stars. You had Moby on vocals and keyboards, Badly Drawn Boy on bass, bloke from Stereo MCs on lead guitar and some Kurt Cobain lookalike on drums All in all a great show anyway
