Temptation TV movie...fave moments! I dug U-deb's tempts thread last week. and this is a follow-up.
the Tv movie on the temptations was of my fave music movies of all time: (for yo info...the best i dig are WEST side story, purple rain, jailhouse rock, lovin' you, beat street, wild style, a hard days night, help, let it be,standing the shadows of motown...what's love got to do with it and the TV J5 movie) ok Tempts fans...what's your fave moments in the movie: here's mine: the opening sequence when oTis and el BRYANT are checking out the CADIALLACs doing "speedo"...(sets up why otis formed a group anyway) the scene where kid (from kid & play) is the radio dj who hooked them up with johnnie mae mathews (who cheated them later) and they did a recording of COME On... man they sure didn't record record in nice studios then ,right? and this scene: the one where the otis's distants meet eddie and paul for the first and the SUpremes. bad ass performance of the eddie character and paul doing a old fave of mine (stay ) with the 3 supremes... now check this out y'all...the girls that played diana and mary were WAY too "stacked" for the real DIANA and mary. (flo was alright) diana was a stick and i DO mean stick then...mary was not too bad (she and flo were beautIful sistas, huh? the scene was cool cuz they had eddie defending diana honor (i don't think the real eddie dug diana...he and mary were tight) i dug paul and eddie checking out otis's group's performance of COME on... (HEY MAN what are they doing?) the real paul williams was one HEll of a dancer. check out any tempts footage circa 1964-69 paul ,ruffin 7 melvin were 2 cool and 2 BAD...those were the REAL dancers in that GROUP,for sure!!! ok those are just a few...david e,finess,U-deb...manki... holla at me on this one...

I LOVE that movie!! I like the performance/concert sequences more than anything. I think my favorite moment is when they are recording Papa Was A Rolling Stone. I DON'T WANT TO BE NORMAL,because normal is part of the status quo, which I don't want to be a part of- Tori Amos
