TRON

Having 2 parents that are r+b/soul/jazz fans and living in Detroit has always been an influence on the music I listen to. I've loved old school r+b and rap since I can remember.

Harlepolis

I turned 21 this very October but I don't really think that I'm the last of a dying breed lol hey my kids LOVE to listen to what I listen rather than B2K, Bow Wow, Ashanti and all that shit. So I guess you could say that my kids are growing up with the same ears as they mommy!

But on the humble? I grew up on Jazz and oldies Arabic music(to this very day, we still play those stuff). Ya know, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington and all of them. If we ever pulled a Soul record then it either would be from Chaka Khan or Stevie Wonder.

I was introduced to Prince's music by my older brotha who used to DJ around Harlem with EVERY Prince record he got his hands on and BAM everything started from there. Prince is truely the ONE who made me dig deeper to music and made me a true listener,,,I always give the brotha this credit. I neva really bought records from MUSICIANS(not vocalists but MUSICIANS) till I became a fan of him.
