"I saw you (and him)
walkin in the rain You were holdin' hands and I'll never be the same I saw you (and him) walkin' in the rain You were holding hands and I'll never be the same" alot of people went crazy over the spoken rap part, but the chorus is the highlight, imo. In the summer of 1986,you couldn't get that song outta your head!

I have the Oran 'Juice' Jones debut album on vinyl. In addition to "The Rain",the album also featured a killer jam called "1-2-1",which should have been the follow-up single. He was a talented guy making great music, but I don't think his label (Def Jam) knew what to do with him.In 1986,their roster consisted mostly of rappers, and Oran 'Juice' Jones was something entirely different. He was a well-dressed R&B crooner, with a Morris Day-like persona.
Oran released a second album,in 1987,featuring the single "Cold Spendin' My Money".But once again, the album wasn't promoted properly and effectively. It featured a strong jam called "I Just Can't Say Goodbye",which would have made a fine single.

Oran was Dropped from Def Jam when they found out on stage that voice he had wasnt his. it was all studio tricks he opened up for whodini, and was booed off the stage. and the girl on the album cover is Jalil's sister
