Insanely good Tori Amos websites

http://www.yessaid.com/frames.html

www.thedent.com

I've recently had a Tori renaissance and these sites have been vital for my rediscovery.

Check out the first one to see a collection of Tori quotes about almost every song she's ever released.

Her songs can be very abstract and cryptic, so this was a great help to better understanding her and her work.

And the 2nd one has the biggest archive of news and articles you could hope for. They update daily too.

Have a look. They're great!

Check out some of her collected quotes on common topics. The "Drugs" one is particularly insightful. wink

First site is great!

Love things like; Tori's Books.

I love the way she communicates to her audience.

I remember when 10.000 came out there was this list inside called NPG's fave music (really Prince's) and it turned out I had almost every release on there.

It's great to follow up on what makes your fave artist tick.

I saw an interview she did for "The Box"? Or was it one with Kennedy from MTV.. she was discussing the concept for the album "Under the Pink" (my personal favorite). You definitely need to hear her speak to understand the lyrics.. her Storytellers cd is good. But for the most part, I have no clue wtf she's talking about.. her lyrics are very cryptic. confuse

TRON, where on this website was most helpful to figuring out what her lyrics mean? The interviews?

It's on the first site listed. Go to the drop down menu. Select the album you're interested in, i.e. Under The Pink. On the left will be a listing of the songs w/ options for lyrics and quotes. Go to the quotes and it's collected a lot of what she's said to the press about each one. It's really well organized and thorough. Happy reading. biggrin

I think I might just use the cover to the "Tales of a Librarian" best of that's coming out next month.

LOL. She's 40 and has a family now.

I don't think making vision quests with Amazon medicine women is high on her priorities list anymore.
