The Jacksons: Triumph

I freaken love this album...If not for the last two clunkers I would say this is the best of any of the Jackson family albums (including JJ and MJ)...But I must admit this is only one of two "Jackson" albums that I own (the other being Destiny)...

and that got me thinking, is there any other Jackson 5 or Jackson album worthy of purchase?

and whatever happened to Randy? I remember reading a lot of positive reviews about one of his albums (that it was better then Janet's 1814 which was released at the same time)...

and werent the Jackson's supposed to do a new album, with MJ?

lol...the Jacksons have been talking about a "reunion" album for years, but I doubt that it will happen.

As for Randy...his 1989 album was credited to "Randy and The Gypsies" and I think it sold about 6 copies worldwide smile

Face it,the Jacksons are over. But stick with those old albums, they're great. My favorite is 'Triumph' too.

Did they put out Triumph, Destiny, and Victory back2back2back? If so, why? Anyway,I like the concept. It's like a trilogy.

I used to own their Live album. Loved it. I've mentioned this before but...the house music sample/shout out "Can you feel it" (think: Jungle Brothers', I'll House You) comes from this album.

I must be the only one who likes when artists used to make albums with less than 10 songs. smile Filler cuts just don't do it for me.

all hail the return of short albums..Badu, Simply Red, Meshell all released perfect lenghted albums this year..

That Rufus dudes album would have been a classic if he had followed this rule..

and stymie...we have way to much musical taste in common!! lol And Walk Right Now is the bomb!! In a long drive need to wake up and groove your neck kinda way...

Brought this back to the top because I just put on Triumph. "Can you feel it it" is my joint! Definitely, one of my all time favorites by the Jackson's. (Sometimes they play this in the stadium when I go to a ballgame.) Remember the video? They were larger than life, and sprinkling glitter over everything.
Loved that video. Love this song.

Funny, but when we think of songs about love, peace, unity, hope...songs like "Ebony & Ivory" come up. But, this song should be right up there with the best.

Can You Feel It

If you look around
The whole world is coming together now

Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it

Feel it in the air, the wind is taking it everywhere

Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it

All the colors of the world should be
Lovin` each other wholeheartedly
Yes, it`s all right
Take my message to your brother and tell him twice
Spread the word and try to teach the man
Who`s hating his brother, when hate won`t do
When we`re all the same, `cause the blood inside me is inside you

Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it
Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it

Sing out loud
Because we want to make a crowd
Touch a hand and sing a sound so pure, salvation rings

Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it
Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it

All the children of the world should be
Loving each other wholeheartedly
Yes, it`s all right
Take my message to your brother and tell him twice
Take the news to the marching men,
Who are killing their brothers, when death won`t do
`Cause we`re all the same
Yes, the blood inside me is inside of you

Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it
Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it

Every breath you take
Is someone`s death in another place
Every healthy smile
Is hunger and strife to another child
But the stars do shine
In promising salvation, is near this time
Can you feel it now
So sisters and brothers
Show we know how
Now tell me

Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it
Can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it
