Front row, baby! Well, I'll get to that later...

I arrived at around 4.30pm, around 35 people were there (for the standing tickets section). My friend arrived shortly after me.
They opened the first doors at around 6pm and let us into the foyer or whatever it was. We were let into the actual hall shorty before 7pm. I thought all those grown would chill and walk and stay cool, but no way. Pushing and shoving and running. Nevermind we still got front row, a little to the right, right in front off Gerry Leonard. Cool!
The arena started to fill and at around 7.30pm, The Dandy Warhols began. The sound was bad, couldn't hear the lead voice at all. I thought since they weren't using the main speakers, this will be better for Bowie.
Some of their songs alright, but boy, they were drunk or stoned or whatever. Seemed like that to me anyway.

Then shortly before 9pm, the video started. I must say, really cool beginning to the show. Loved it how the cartoon changed to real film.
The band came out, everyone looking good, Bowie looking good, everything's alright.
But I couldn't hear his voice! Instead my head got blown of by Gerry Leonard's guitar. We immediately thought about going further to the back but stayed at the front for some time, I think the first 8 songs. My friend got the pick from Gail.
We then went back and thank God we did! Still a good view, more room and SOUND! I could hear him sing!
I really would have kicked myself if I hadn't heard Loving the Alien for example properly.
Good concert then (of course they were great before but I couldn't really get into it).
You should really think twice about getting front row.

Highlights for me were "Heroes", The Motel, Loving the Alien, Disco King, Suffragette City, Ziggy and maybe more.
Surprisingly, Let's Dance is really great live, too. I loved the different beginning, slower and more ballad-like.
Bowie was his usual joking self again, as always. He mentioned that they didn't get much sleep, so maybe other concerts might have been a little more energetic, but they still rocked! He really seemed to get into it as they went on.

Afterwards, I bought the tour book, which is nice and a Reality poster. Only 5 Euro, not bad for the size and the paper. T-shirts were kinda expensive though.

That's it, cannot really gice you a setlist, maybe tomorrow, but I didn't make any notes, so it would only be from memory.

i like the new rendition of "Let's Dance" better as well. it's actually gotten me to like that song (that i'd hated from the day i'd heard it as a 6 year old)

Yum. I can't wait till January...and I knew there was a reason I didn't knock myself out for front row seats!
