E.T. Soundtrack

I hooked up my record player again today and was spinning some old albums.

God I love this soundtrack, I used to sit by our old stereo and watch ETs head spin.

Sounds corny but this LP always brings me to tears...

just try to imagine the "bycicle through the moon" scene without the music...

E.T. just would be nothing without the wonderful music of John Williams

He did the ET Storybook with 'Someone In The Dark' on it. It got deleted after being out for less than a year because of some contractual problems.

E.T.'s in the song he says "Thank you" or "I'll Be Right Here" depending on which version you're listening to.

BTW John Willians is a genius! E.T., Star Wars, Jaws, Superman, Indiana Jones etc that's just the tip of the iceberg. This guy makes you feel a movie.

The Michael Jackson 'E.T.' storybook/album is now a rare collector's item that's not very easy to find.I remember seeing it in a record store in 1982,around the same time that 'Thriller' came out.If I had known that it would soon be deleted because of contractual problems,I would have bought it immediately.

You were able to get the album & poster thru an offer from ET cereal. That's how I got mine. It was not in any special packaging tho...just a blue sleeve.

I only got it a couple of years ago in a collector's store. It's all mint condition too.
