If modern music had a Mount Rushmore, he'd be right up there.

There are some interesting new releases this year from the Hendrix family ( for those of you who dont already know):

Last week:Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues:Jimi Hendrix

A very nice comp , features 2 previously unreleased jams

This Week:Jimi Plays Berkeley:The Second Show
On CD & DVD

The DVD has a 5.1 mix of the concert (audio only)

Im not sure when or how these jams were available in the past , but If you love Jimi ,I would reccommend these excellent releases .The Hendrix family has done a wonderful job .

33 years gone and it seems like only yesterday that I sat in a basement coffeehouse in Toronto and heard Jimi wail... before he began to sail. All by accident, or was it...just another night out. Memory not forgotten. Such a shy and humble man, yet most powerful presence...and...a master of his craft because... Jimi had the real message of love.
RIPJIMI

All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold. All the fellas say ruff if you're only giving up the bone.

Its sad to say that some people leave the earth at the right time.(Pac, Biggie, Jimi, Marely, etc) They were put here to drop gems of music and inspire millions. I would hate Jimi leasing elevator music like Clapton.
