All in all, there's a lot to be had here. But I'm still a bit disappointed. Their 2 best b-sides aren't even included, "Step On The Beast" and "Invisible Hands". Plus they've left off some great things like "Let's Just Close Our Eyes", "Dr. Trash", "Sweet Surprise", "Rich Girl", etc. And where's "Sound and Vision" and "Beautiful Armadillo". I'll be glad to have the albums remastered but without all the b-sides and an over-abundance of remixes and alternate versions, I'll be hesitant to fork over the cash.

Dunno. He'll be eager to hear this news though.

And btw, if you never got into their back catelogue, now's your chance. wink

Maybe cuz it was tied to the film, they couldn't get the rights or something.

I know, bummer. sad

Wow! There's lots of great stuff here, although there are some glaring omissions that I'd like to see. Oh well. To have these B-sides remastered is wonderful!

Think about it- we ARE getting the following B-sides:

Le Sinistre
Heartbeat, Heartbeat
4/4 in Leather
Home Is Where the Heart Is
Monkey, Monkey
Baby's Gone Blue
Satellite of Love
You Take Some Lentils...And You Take Some Rice
ABC Freeform
Grown Up Girls
Tous Les Garcons Et Les Filles
Precious
See No Evil

We also are getting the following unreleased studio tracks and rarities:

Fame
Hello, I Love You
Revenge 2
My Guy
Come Together
Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me
Something in the Air Tonight

That's 20 tracks, and that's almost as much as the rumored 22 on the rarities album. It leaves the following songs as our own personal secrets:

Dr. Trash
Step on the Beast
Step on the Beast '83
Invisible Hands
Invisible Hands '83
Let's Just Close Our Eyes
Charlie Cat
Darling Don't Leave Me
Sweet Surprise
Sweet Surprise Part 2
Baby Take a Chance on Me
Rich Girl

I'm happy with the news that it's still seeing the light of day, and I will be happy to have everything remastered. I will buy them all at once.

I think Touch especially could've been much better. 2 live tracks, Plus Something Else and ABC Freeform aren't what I'd call great additions to their cd catelogue. This would've been the perfect place to include the "Step On The Beast" EP. They're neglecting 2 of their greatest songs this way! I think it's kinda cheap.

Maybe we really did only imagine those songs!

I'm overall quite pleased.

It's better than nothing I suppose. But when something as big as remastering comes along, it's a chance to make things new and perfect. I just wish they would've been complete, that's all. "In The Garden" looks to be the most thorough other than the omission of "Your Time Will Come" from the live ep.

It isn't a perfect set of remasters, but I am ecstatic that:

(1) I get to hear all of the studio albums remastered.
(2) I get 13 B-sides remastered (remember when we thought it would be about half B-sides and half unreleased for the 22-track live album)?
(3) I get new material in great quality.

There are things missing, but I'll take whatever I can get.

Me too. I'm trying to decide now whether I'll just copy them from you or buy them all and sell my old copies.

But I'll say it again: Not including "Step On The Beast" and "Invisible Hands" is absolutely criminal!

Yes, I would have loved to hear those on there. Remember that this is the first tracklist posted- I wouldn't be surprised if it changed.

In any case, part of me is secretly happy that there's some great rare stuff like "Step on the Beast" and "Invisible Hands" left untouched. They're still going to be cult.

Songs like that will always be cult whether they're available or not.

Hearing those songs in CD quality would've been pure bliss.

Still hoping they see the light of day.

Get it all. It is all worth every penny. The remaster treatment might be the single music moment I've been waiting for in my entire life.

In my opinion, this is how they should be changed:

In The Garden - they included the entire Live EP except "Your Time Will Come". It needs to be there.

Sweet Dreams - axe the '91 remixes. They'll kill the flow. Add Dr. Trash, Let's Just Close Our Eyes and especially I Could Give You A Mirror (Dream Mix). That's their best remix!

Touch - This is probably the worst of all. No need for that live bullshit. And Plus Something Else isn't even a song. Add the best b-sides Step On The Beast, Invisible Hands and Angel Dub for completion.

1984 should've come out. Add Sweet Surprise and SS Part 2. Get rights to the Robert Gorl stuff and include Charlie Cat, Playtime and Darling Don't Leave Me.

Somewhere Beautiful Armadillo should be used. And there's gotta be something worthwhile from the 20 extra tracks that didn't make it to Sweet Dreams. The scrapped covers album from late '84 early '85 should've been used too. As for the later albums, they're not so bad cuz there aren't that many b-sides to choose from. But Baby Take A Chance On Me, Winter Wonderland and Rich Girl all need to be on their respective albums.

wow, i've been waiting for these track lists to be released!! awesome.

well... i am a bit disappointed that 1984 is not being included in the reiusses. it's a great spooky fantastic album but would certainly benefit from a remastering.

Other than that, i'm excited... i can't wait to hear Sweet Dreams album, especially... as for the b-sides i'm shocked Rich Girl was not included.. i wonder why, does this mean they aren't fond of the track? But i'm happy to see my favorite B-Side - MonkeyMonkey. And also surprised Invisible Hands was not included, but honestly i'm not disappoined i'm not that fond of it.
