Dylan remasters...hybrid SACD/CDs... Has anyone here heard those new Dylan remasters yet? My copies are still coming to me in the mail (yum...delicious 15-disc box set...mmm...), but I've heard that they sound fucking GREAT! All of the Dylan discussion sites I find are full of fucking dumbfucks, so I want to ask you fine folks for the proverbial 'word on the street.'
Can't wait...especially for Nashville Skyline and John Wesley Harding! "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Hi KingSausage, sorry but I don't know anyone that's received these yet. I have a friend in the UK who's a huge Dylan fan so I will ask him if he's heard them yet and I'll let you know. I have no doubt that they will sound amazing. I'm looking forward to hearing them too, but I have to wait a while until my finances allow me to purchase all of them. Buying a new car definitely sucks up ones $$$

I saw these 15 remastered albums for sale separately in a UK record Store yesterday. I asked if they were going to be released in a box set and they said "No".
Therefore I purchased "Blood on the Tracks" with a plan to buy the rest individually. On checking Amazon, I now realise that they are doing the box set and have now ordered. Never mind...you can never have too many "Blood on the Tracks" anyway. The quality is awesome. I've never heard Dylon sound so clear. I urge everyone to buy them all immediately! --------------------------------------------------

I'm a big Dylan fan, so I've bought a few of these. The sound on everything from "Freewheelin'" to "Planet Waves" is ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING.
Thereafter it's plat spot the minor difference. "Infidels" sounds a heck of a lot better than it ever did on standard CD, but there are very few noticeable differences on "Oh Mercy", "Street Legal" (which was remixed and remastered in 1999), "Desire" and "Blood On The Tracks". Still, they've finally re-released some of Dylan's greatest albums in pristine remasters, so they're worth getting for everyone and anyone who doesn't have a few Bawb albums in their collections. Good thread, folks! Who said we Orgers had bad taste in music?

Am I correct in saying that Blonde on Blonde is not included in the box set? --------------------------------------------------
