S.O.S. Band

I distinctly remember this band back in the day because of their involvement w/ the Jam/Lewis production team.Anybody remember Weekend Girl & Just be Good to Me?Turns out the albums w/ these classic R/B songs have been out of print for years on CD??!!What a shame..

Good news is that their debut album was reissued on CD a while back.It of course has their classic songsWhat's wrong w/ Our Love Affair & Take Your Time(Do It Right).I highly recommend this release along w/ other classic Tabu records debuts from Alexander O'Neal & Cherrele.Tabu records, please reissue On The Rise & Just The Way You Like it now!! music

I just bought the extended version of "Just The Way U Like It b/ Instrumental Remix" 2day!

The segue between :

No One's Gonna Love U
Weekend Girl
Just The Way U Like It

is the most beautiful flowing of consistency of songs i have ever heard (in competition with Lovesexy & Rainbow Children).

No Ones Gnna Love U & Weekend Girl are on my top 20 of all time favorite songs of my life.

I have "On The Rise" & "Sands Of Time" & "Just The Way U Like It" & Greatest Hits.

Album plays and love for vinyl records.

really? Hell yeah. I have Weekend Girl suege (with the sitar and wind) going over and over again for 9 minutes...very calming and reminds me of looking over a beach. It is so calming and beautiful that whole first side.

Yeah Bruno used to play with S.O.S. He's bad! I always liked Ernesto Phillips from Starpoint, too. Peep the "Object Of My Desire" guitar solo and you'll know what I'm talkin' bout!

I'm with ya on those 2 songs! Love 'Em!

I especially love this remix that Maxwell did of his song "Don't Ever Wonder" where he sampled the music from "No One's Gonna Love You"! Those 2 songs mixed together is just pure unadulterated stankiness!

Tabu Records sadly went out of business in 1996,Tabu went through many major label changes 1st when they started in 1976 Tabu was dist. through RCA and had only one band signed to them at the time "Brainstorm: if which thier Debut album from 77 isnt available on cd anywhere. trust me i looked, Tabu closed up shop for many years when they resurfaced in 1980 with the SOS band..then Alex, then Cherelle. and that in a nutshell is the history of Tabu Records smile
