I saw him on TV last night and couldn't understand a word he was saying. I'm from kind of the same part of London too, so lord knows how anyone else is supposed to make out what he's saying. Maybe he's more intelligable in his raps.

The album is ok, but lacks the wit of The Streets, who should have won the Mercury prize last year. However, in his favour, the Dizzie Rascal albumis unlike just about anything I've ever heard, whilst the other nominees are hardly ground-breaking or original.

Dizzie's CD is cool, pisses over The Streets. Yeah, they were original, but I doubt very much they will make an impression with their next CD. The other nominees 'hardly ground-breaking'? Or ''Original'? Sorry bud, The Darkness cover both bases there. Watch 'em get the Brit Award/s they deserve in February...

Don't get me wrong, I like The Darkness, but they are intentionally unoriginal. They're a tribute to the stadium rock of the 80s - Bon jovi, Van Halen, ACDC etc. I hope they'll be around for many years to come, but they ain't in the least bit original or ground-breaking.

I know what u are saying, and the whole point is that they are doin it with their tongues firmly implanted in theirs (and everybody elses!) cheeks. It's called Irony. THAT's why it works, THAT's why they're eXploding. THAT's why they'll be massive - cuz nobody's had the sheer bare-faced cheek or audacity 2 try pulling it off before. Freddie Mercury & Bon Scott would be proud!

I kinda like The Darkness. That Justin dude sounds like a complete arsewipe when he talks though, but he can definitely pull off that Def Leppard style singing. I must admit that when I see them perform on TV I feel like watching the movie Rock Star :p

What's happened 2 The Streets? Is Mike Skinner recording a new album?
Dizzee Rascals beating Floetry? The end of the world is nigh 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!
