Brian McKnight

Last night I went to check out Brian McKnight at the Quest (formally Glam Slam)

The show was off the hook!!! He has a little rough, edgier sound, I guess since his recent divorce, he sped up alot of his slower tunes.

At one point he said, "I'm not married anymore so I can say the wild shit"

All in all, I'm a McKnight fan all over again.
Life my azz muthafucka, dis is a bitness!!

I love Gravy, I love Titties. I love Gravy Dipped Titties.

Too bad his albums get more and more like the rest of the scene. His first and second album were amazing..

Now its full of guest stars that arent worth the time.. rap cuts with nelly, and a showcase of songs that sound like the same thing.

I totally agree with you. I have not purchased a BM album since the first one, which was perfect. Folks ougta stop catering to the current scene and just SING, dammit.

Agreed.Remember how silly Brian looked in 1998,when he did that song with Mase "You Should Be Mine"? Now,he looks like an even bigger fool collaborating with Nelly.

Brian McKnight -- a great artist with a lot of potential, who has unfortunately lost his way. I have his first two albums, which are both brilliant. I Remember You (1995) is a perfect follow-up to his first album, and it contains a number of memorable moments; I highly recommend it to those who liked his first album.

I also highly recommend that you avoid any of the albums he released afterwards, which feature collaborations with everyone from Mase to Nate Dogg...

i liked the First Album&the stuff He use to do with Vanessa Williams. He never moved me in terms of dance or uptempo Music though.Hit&Miss with his Hits.as far His Albums since the first one:Predictable&Phoned in.He spends more time on the Best Damn Sports Show Rocking His Wilt Chamberlin THrowback Jersey. He is a Talented Cat but just can't seem to find that Song that will put Him over.I think His Brother from Take 6 has a Better Vocal Presentation.Brian ain't really been the same since He got Cold Busted Jacking Meshall'Nedeocello's "Outside your Door" for His Hit "Anytime" quiet as it's Kept.

Some people can only create one style of music and Brian is one of those people. When his first album dropped I listened to it everyday, it was the greatest thing I heard at the time. He was my reason for wanting to play great love songs. He is a super writer and even better piano player, but maybe the record company wants him to reach the younger fans. That's why I would hate to be a recording artist, a puppet not in control of your own music. I can't have some no talent business man sending back my music that I slaved over telling me they don't like it. That's why all these talented musicians are releasing crap. I'd play my music on the streets of NYC before I let some stuff suit tell me about music. And have me jumping aroud in a video looking like a fish out of water.
