I have the Madame X album on vinyl.I got it as a Christmas present in '87."Just That Type Of Girl" has an amazing sound unlike anything else in R&B at the time. The album has other great tracks, like "I Want Your Body" (which sounds like Vanity 6) and sexy slow jams like "I'm Weak For You".

Bernadette Cooper was a very good producer. In 1988,there were tentative plans for a second Madame X album (with Teena Marie contributing a few tracks),but it never materialized and the group broke up.

Come on...don't that sound like menopause?

Oh, yes...re: Madame X... That song was the joint. This is one cut that I haven't heard in YEARS! I loved it. There was something very MPLS Sound about it for sure! I think there were three members. The lead was really pretty. I don't remember if they were as sexy as V6. I'm thinking they might've been more cool like the Time. But, I could be wrong.

Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!
