I saw the film back in the day.It got re-named back in the alte 80's to "shinning Star"&I wanted to Buy it on Video until I was told it was gonna Cost Me 90.00 dollars so I had to pass on it.interesting take on the Music Business&this was back in 75.

I thought New Jack City was a great in that it powerfully explored the arrival and assault of crack on urban America. The soundtrack ties all the movie's frames together in a perfect way. Great soundtrack.
