Thalia Disses Mariah In today's NY POST:
August 22, 2003 -- MEEE-ouch! Tommy Mottola's new wife, Thalia, took a swipe at his ex-wife - and her pop rival - Mariah Carey during an interview with Blink 102.7's Lizzie Grubman Monday. "Tommy and I met in a different situation," Thalia told Grubman. "He was already famous in his own world. I was already famous in my own world. I didn't arrive with a tape in my hand saying, 'Like, could you make a career for me or could you sign me?' " Thalia was referring to how Carey and Mottola met - when she was an aspiring singer and gave him a demo of her astounding voice. Let the rain come down...17 days.... | |

I just saw Thalia's video with Fat Joe.Before her CD came out,she was being hyped as this great,amazing Latin artist.But when I listened to the song,it sounds just like everything else in R&B right now.She's doing the same predictable,trite, watered-down R&B/hip-hop/dance music crap that J-Lo and others have already mastered.Like Shakira,Thalia is all hype and no substance. | |

thalia looks like a mariah wannabe in her video. she does the same gestures and looks. she completely rips the new york girls off. she tryin to get the same spot as mariah and j.lo by doin the same things as them. keep it real girl

She's stupid. The way Mariah always told it was her friend had the demo and Tommy grabbed it from the friend. She didn't go up to Tommy and say "here." As a matter of fact, she already had a deal in the works with another label When she met Tommy. Thalia's just jealous she can't sing like Mariah. She's probably living in Mariah's shadow back at the crib | |
