Old school dj's remember these???/

these were promo only's from Tommy Boy records "the History of Hip Hop Lessons I II and III by Double D and Stein ski. lessn III had dance to the drummers beat by herman kelly and Life in it... speak on it,,,

yo brotha... wasn't this like one of the very first examples of sampling? i remember hearing these for the first time... the local college radio station was playing these, but they weren't for sale. i talked one of the djs into giving me a tape copy of em... loved these tracks. in christgau's record guide he gave this EP (was it an EP?) an A+. slammin stuff, still today!

yup, then they got bootlegged on a label called RPM records. double d and stein ski did such underground 12's such as "Feelin James and the History of hip hop LessonsI-III" "I say children..what does it all mean...this stuff is reeellly freeesh (from change the beat by Fab 5 freddy)
