The lost video by Tweet I wonder whatever happened to the video for Tweet's 3rd single, "Smoking Cigarettes?" I've seen snapshots of the video shoot, but it has never aired. I would've loved to see the finished product (especially since Little X directed it). That was my favorite joint from her album. Hopefully her next solo effort will do her justice in this industry.

I didn't know that she made a video 4 that song. It looks 2 me as a "Non-released vidoe" or "Promo shots video"!
Lets just pray that Missy won't fuck up this chic like she did 2 her former female proteges cuz Tweet is just so damn good

I wonder why the song never took off as a single. From the first time I heard the album, Smoking Cigarettes has been my favorite song. She fully conjures the spirit of what it's like to be lovelorn, aching, and breaking late at night while you're thinking about your absent man and draggin' on a cigarette.
Total mood song ... reminiscent of 17 days, for me.' I heard her say on TV once that people had the wrong idea about the song ... that they thought it was glorifying smoking. That's absurd since she says at the end: "I gotta quit." Those damned Truth commercials shut down my favorite song! Anyway, that album should have gotten way more play. Damn shame it never surfaced becuase it was one of the better songs on an already great album. "Make Your Move" was a really great upbeat track but when it comes to the slow jams, "Smoking Ciggarettes" was the best.

Every time I hear that song, I keep thinking I have crickets in my room. LOL
Tweet is really cool. Her debut was worth the money. I liked "Make Ur Move" as well as "Love Me." I hope her next album is good. She definitely has the R&B songstress thing down.

that song is really great. but i lost a lot of respect for her after the ashanti thang. I don't know if her star will really shine because she didn't have good stage presence, but she has a good voice nonetheless ....

Please tell me you are not talking about Tweet's stage presence. If so, all I have to say is that you would definitely take that back if you saw her live.

oooh. what happened with Ashanti [going to google up information] when ashanti and tweets album came out at the same time and ashanti's took off better than tweet's. Tweet came out talking on shows about how Murder Inc must have bought copies of her album to make her CD sell so much and that her album is better. but Ashanti did rebuttle will a lot more grace in Honey magazine. I like tweet better than ashanti, but i found that too be really really tacky and only made her look really bad ....

But seriously, the few times I've heard her sing live she has NEVER been off. This girl can sing her ass off and it's a shame because not too many people know that she actually can. They only assume that she "gets by" because of what they hear on the radio.

Even tho Tweet have the right to feel bitter about the state of the music biz(who dogged her) I neva heard her say any negative thang about Ashanti nor Murder Inc, hell she even pay her respect 4 them(why should she?) but its true. As far as her stage presence? LOL I 4give you, cuz you obeviously haven't seen her live otherwise you wouldn't even think of her as a louzy pre4mer. As 4 Shafty-->Yes alright, she has that Somalian beauty going on

Tweet said that "Murder Inc" must be buying her albums (double scanning)
She also said that she is original and doesn't need samples and can sing unlike Ashanti She said that to billboard.com I think

She mentioned something like that in Honey Magazine. Everybody knows that Murder Inc. purchased the first million copies of Ashanti's debut album and she's right, she is an original arist that doesn't need samples. She co-produced on darn near all of her songs and arranges a lot of vocals for Missy, Monica, and even Karen Clark Sheard.

I honestly don't think she was saying that to be "tacky." The interviewer asked her about the situation and she truthfully responded. It's no secret about what Irv Gotti did, anyway. I'm going to try and find that article for you and paste it on here.
