(Aug. 1, 2003) *Anyone who's still asking, "Who is Jill Scott?" must have either left the planet or been in a coma for the past three years. Some, however, are wondering where the Grammy nominated singer has been since blazing the charts with her debut album.

Well, the Hidden Beach recording artist, who recently directed a music video for her label mate, trombonist, Jeff Bradshaw, is taking on a new creative venture. She is co-starring in a 2004 Showtime film "Cavedwellers." No stranger to acting, Scott starred in the Broadway play "Rent" and explains how acting is a different creative challenge for her.

"Acting challenges me to put myself in the role of another personality, while music gives me a platform to express my own emotions and thoughts," explains Jill.

"Cavedwellers" is a story about an abused wife who leaves her family to pursue her dreams of being a musician. Scott plays the supportive friend.
