I have so many favorites, but when I check my list it usually includes numerous songs from "Songs In The Key Of Life". As a result, I just pick that album. Even Prince said that it's the album that all artists judge their greatness on!!

Oh man, Not Stevie Wonder! He's amazing!! There's far too many great songs by this man it's hard to just name 10 and then have to select which ten is even more difficult. The man is phenomenal!!!

Okay... I'll play.

Keep in mind, these are fantastic songs; but could never be considered my all time favorites... there's just too many.

Even when making this list out, I couldn't help but think I've left out so many. So, because of my ever changing feelings for Stevie, I am giving you what I'm feelin' now... it changes all the time...

So... off the top o' my head...and not in any particular order:

Lately
Just the other night while you were sleeping,
I vaguely heard you whisper someone's name,
But when I ask you of the thoughts you're keeping,
You just say... nothing's changed

Happy Birthday
'Cause we all know in our minds,
That there ought to be a time,
That we can set aside,
To show just how much we love you
And I'm sure you will agree,
It couldn't fit more perfectly,
Than to have a world party,
On the day you came to be...

Knocks Me Off My Feet
...And words from our hearts,
Told only to the wind are heard
Even without being said...
I don't want to bore you with this,
Oh but I love you, I love you, I love you...
more and more...
And there's something 'bout your love
That makes me weak and knocks me off my feet...

Ribbon In The Sky
If allowed may I touch your hand
And if pleased may I once again
So that you too will understand
There's a ribbon in the sky for our love...

That Girl
That girl thinks that she's so bad
She will change my tears to joy from sad
She says she keeps the upper hand
'Cause she can please her man
She doesn't use her love to make him weak
She uses love to keep him strong
And inside me there's no room for doubt
That it won't be too long...

Sir Duke
For there's Basie, Miller, Satchmo and the king of all Sir Duke
And with a voice like Ella's ringing out there's no way the band can lose...You can feel it all over

Rocket Love
You took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at half a mile from heaven
You dropped me back down to this cold, cold world...

Love's In Need of Love
Good mourn or evening friends
Here's your friendly announcer,
I've serious news to pass on to everybody
What I'm about to say,
Could mean the world's disaster
Could change your joy and laughter
To tears and pain...
It's that love's in need of love today...

Ngiculela
There are songs to make you smile
There are songs to make you sad
But with a happy song to sing it never seems as bad
To me came this melody,
So I try to put in words how I feel
Tomorrow will be for you and me...
I am singing of tomorrow
I am singing of love
I am singing someday love will reign throughout this world of ours
Let's start singing of love from our hearts...

Overjoyed
The sandman has come from too far away
For you to say come back some other day
And though you don't believe that they do
They do come true
For did my dreams come true when I looked at you...

I've always said this same thing but, do list some faves... you'll see it's hard to pick just ten but it's cool to do...

What'd ya think of my picks of the moment?

Because I don't truly consider them my all time faves... there are just too many. This is a list of great songs, but I could list ten more tomorrow that I'd consider too... you know? Just what I'm feelin' now... although, "Love's In Need Of Love" will always be on that list regardless... wink

Yes,"Rocket Love" is incredible! Probably the best song from the 'Hotter Than July' album.I also love the tracks "Ain't Gonna Stand For It" and "As If You Read My Mind".That's a solid album that never gets the credit it deserves.

Stevie has been working on this new album for a few years now.Recently,he began working with producers Raphael Saadiq and Rockwilder, but he also has a bunch of new tracks that he wrote and produced himself. The tracklist hasn't been finalized but here's a list of a few tracks that *may* appear on the record...

***"I Can't Imagine Love Without You"---Stevie performed this song on the BET Walk Of Fame special last year

***"Justice Of The Heart"---this song appeared in the "John Q" film

***a duet with Brian McKnight---a duet (title unknown) was recorded in 2001 for Brian's album 'SuperHero',but since it didn't make Brian's album,Stevie may decide to use if for his own CD.

My bad...the G.C. Cameron track is actually credited to The Spinners when he was singing with them. You can find it on a lot of their greatest hit CD's.
