They were great on Letterman. Great CD. "Maps" is one of my favorite songs of the year. © Bart Van Hemelen

They won't be around for very long. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

They have a song called (I think) "Year to be Hated" (it's not on the album...maybe on the e.p.?) that is BEYOND kick-ass rock-'n-roll. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Dont U mean The Yeah Yeah Yeahs? I do like them, Karen O is pretty cool and the 1st EP they released was rockin'. However like EvilWhiteMale I kinda agree they wont be around 4 long and will just end up as being another inde/punk has-beens.

Their latest release is not that bad. I actually thought they sucked cuz of their previous work. But they're not too bad. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I like this album, though it's a bit hard to warm up to. Lots of interesting sounds and fun lyrics, but it's hard to pin down the melodies...I don't find myself humming YYY songs at work, for example...but when I'm listening to it, I like it

Never heard of em.
However, the Yeah Yeah Yeah's are great. John Peel, Mary-Anne Hobbs and Jo Whiley (English DJs) have been playing their stuff 4 the past 12 months at least, so they aint flash-in-the-pan. Besides, they're the kinda group that looks like they could give 2 flying fucks about massive fame and fortune. Besides, that means shit 2 most people nowadays. The record industry is dying quicker than people realise. I KNOW
