i can feel you watching in the night all alone with me and we're waiting for the sunlight when i feel cold you warm me when i feel i can't go on you come and hold me it's you... and me forever sara smile won't you smile a while for me if you feel like leaving you know you can go but why don't you stay until tomorrow? and if you want to be free, all you have to do is say so when you feel cold, i'll warm you and when you feel you can't go on, i'll come and hold you it's you... and me forever sara smile won't you smile a while for me We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. So much of Hall and Oats's music was blown off as a cheesy 70's and 80's trend when most of it is still fantastic today.
One on One, Sara Smile, Rich Girl, I Can't Go For That, Adult Education, M E T H O D O F L O V E, Say it isnt So, and even the cheesy ones are great songs like Maneater, Private Eyes, Out of Touch and Kiss on My List... Damn, they were one of the best and still are!! "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"

Hall and Oates are often dismissed as a cheesy,commercially-driven pop act,but their songs have stood the test of time."Sara Smile" (1975) is a masterpiece,a soulful pop/R&B song that still sounds great when you hear it today. And their 80s songs are alot of fun ("Private Eyes","ManEater","Family Man",etc).I'm surprised that these guys don't have a multi-disc box set by now.
Earlier this year, they returned with a great new CD 'Do It For Love'.It's doing well on the adult contemporary charts. They just released a new single "Man On A Mission" and are currently on tour. | |
