I've read interviews in which people who've worked with him have said that he can play almost any instrument you put infront of him. How well, I don't know. I think he's also credited for playing guitar on some songs on HIStory...

Drums and guitar mainly, Jennifer Batten said he plays a lot, but obviously not on the scale of someone like Prince. I bet he's better on the guitar than Madonna anyway. He played on Morphine.

He's been credited with guitar, keyboard, drums and 'percussion' . He knows some piano. And i think i once read somewhere he plays the harp, but than again, mayb i didn't smile
My guess is as good as yours, but i don't think any of his instrumental skills are stage-worthy.

As for the instruments, as far as I knew, he could only sing. Unfortunately, he has resorted to grunting and whining and "dah . . .shamone!" in recent years. When he does actually sing these days he can make a great song ("Butterflies" comes to mind).

Butterflies is beautiful. My fave from Invincible. It should have been released as an international single. Pretty much everyone I know likes it.

Naw, I like his old stuff. I was just listening to him earlier today. I just can't get into anything remotely recent though.

Each to their own, eh! I consider Invincible his best since Off The Wall. 'Cos it's blacker than he's been in a long time.
