"Tasty" has a better ring to it. Can't wait for it!

All this Kelis news is quality!
I got her first album, really amazing stuff, haven't heard much of Wanderland though. Am I right in thinking that she has reworked the best tracks from that album to ths new one as Wanderland only had limited release? Where did you get this news from? Mark

I really don't get the hype about this chic
She's a cool lyrics writer but I don't like her singing at all, it sounds forced. However, I give her the credit 4 giving the neptunes their breakthrough.

Could be, although twink69 says she has been working on it since 2001 so it might have some of the songs. I wish she had a website or something, because her kelis.com site is just like an old advert for Wanderland... by the way, is wanderland any good? What I heard didn't really grab me, although I may have been influenced by some of the reviews it was getting... Mark

Vocally, Kelis is terrible, but you've got to love her because #1 she's fine, #2 she fine as fuck, #3 did I mention that she fine? But seriously, The Neptunes are backing her up and she's got a different vibe to her with her own style. For instance, when I saw her rocking those gold fronts, SHE HAD ME!!! That was gangsta and soul as hell (I should know 'cause I live in the South)!!!

She doesn't do anything 4 me. Hell I'm not even impressed by the neptunes in the 1st place becoz they simply sound to me like a follow-up 2 Timbaland who in my opinion the ORIGINAL of this "sick-funky-twisted-fresh-sound" I personaly think that without him,,there won't be no neptunes The only thang I could give them the credit for is, their shit is "less-programmed" than Tim's.

A lot of The Neptunes tracks do sound a like, but then you have those songs like "What Happened To That Boy" or "Frontin'" that sound completely left-field of their usual productions. I love 'em both and can't wait until The Clones album (my nigga O.D.B. is on there too?! Whooo!!!)

The record is coming in the states, there will be 2 songs from "Wanderland" POPULAR THUG feat NAS ans "Young Fresh N NEW"
The rest is new HOT stuff She was also working on an album called "AMPHIBIOUS" but aborted that and started working with Puffy on a new direction and sound Please check out "LET'S GET ILL" this off the new album very hot TRANCE/SOUL song, it leaked because she performed it live in Miami with P Diddy at the DANCE STAR AWARDS IT'S DONNA SUMMER 2003 Startrack are going to pish the album hardcore when they release it "AMPHIBIOUS" was the offical follow up "KALEIDESCOPE" and "WANDERLAND" but KELIS thought that evey one was doing her style and sound so she wants to take to the next level so she's ditched those monotonous fools THE NEPTUNES and working with other producers ( do they only own one loop????? and drum track?? Wanderland sounds like Justified Rock your body sounds like Digital World They are no way as talented as JJ &TL? Who she is working with now Oh, I agree with you. JJ & TL are the truth, but you have to give credit when credit is due-The Neptunes have their own signature sound (just like JJ & TL) and don't use any samples. I don't think that Rock Your Body sounds like Digital World, IMHO, but you're entitled to your point of view.

They have 1 signature sound (it's this computer bleep or something, it's always in the background) Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis can from 'Got till it's gone' to 'Bliss' then gospel then Bryan Admas pop/rock and everthing inbetween they don't have a sound they do it all really There is no gimmick sound, I can never tell when it's then but 'the neputunes' u can here those synthesisers coming a mile away and Pharrel (his the new JD on every track he producers) [This message was edited Tue Jun 10 9:40:28 PDT 2003 by twink69]

The Neptunes make some ill beats, but Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are straight up and down virtuosos in every sense of the word. They have produced rock songs, jazz, classic rock, top 40, AC, new jack swing, R&B, rap, house, disco, etc. The Neptunes are still in the R&B/Rap/Hip Hop spear...the farthest they've branched out was N*E*R*D's In Search Of and that still had too many of the "bleep bleep, doop doop" sound in it even with all the live instrumentation.
