Terence Trent Darby Rocks the house at BBKIngs NYC Soul Singer Funkiter Terence Trent DArby who has performed with prince and recorded unreleased material with him in the late eighties and early ninties...rocked a souled out performace at BB Kings In NYC...
His voice was amazing and flawless, the best live singer I have ever heard. He played all his well known songs and hits and a number of the tracks of off his new album WildCard (his best album yet). Terence whos legal and professional name is now Sananda Maitreya played Guitar, Rythem Guitar and keyboards during the course of his two hour set which included the hits "Sign Your Name" "Wishing Well" and "Designated Fool". After the show he met privately with fans, signed autographs, and hugged & kissed his fans. Chris Rock and Janet Jackson were also at the show to show there support and love... Terence's /Sananada's site is http://www.sanandamaitreya.com.

Freakin' awesome!
Last time I caught TTD was at a hall on Highland, north of Hollywood back in 97! It was a great show, got the tourbook, it was for Vibrator, awesome show, lot's of energy and great renditions of his hits and best songs! Now, I can't say that for Lenny...last time I saw him live was at the House of Blues on Sunset and...well...I got bored, I kid you not. Anyway, that was just a little comparison of peers and which ones ROCK! Hope TTD comes to the West Coast after most of the country! Love that he's got his dreads look again!

that makes his antics in philly even worse. he only played for an 1 hour and 15 minutes (or something short like that). can someone post a setlist? i'd like to see what songs we missed out on due to his temper tantrums...

Sananda didn't play an encore because it was not allowed to play after 11pm, that was the only reason. But regardless the show was great and people were really having a good time With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

Sananda didn't play an encore because it was not allowed to play after 11pm, that was the only reason. But regardless the show was great and people were really having a good time like i said in another post, that's not the real deal. the venue has a midnite curfew and an afterhours license as it serves as a nightclub as well. why was there no opening act? why did the soundcheck end at 9pm or so? why did ttd have his peeps tell us, upstairs, that he would not come on until we went downstairs? that's the real deal serious.
