HEeeeeey, You're talking to me? *Help!* Girl, you know I'm talking to,,,!
Thats the hook of the 80's funk/r&b song that I heard this morning. I'm hoping that DavidEye, Finess or Handclapsfingazsnaps may help me with the band's name. The song have alot of synth funk sound and you could say its pretty much influenced by Prince. The DJ was talking so fast and the name has passed me by but are you guys fimiliar with Disco Mantigo or something? Holla | |

Disco Montego r an aussie group.
the 2 male lead singers used 2 b a rnb duo called Kaylan in 2000. had a couple of aussie hits & now have this project. they have used Katie Underwood in alot of the album (she used 2 b in australia's 1st Popstars group,Bardot) i saw them live at the RUMBA festival in Nov 2002 & they r an xcellent live act. their band is very funky...one of the lead singers (4give me for 4getting their names) plays guitar & keys on stage ... & i THINK they did most of the production & playing on the album. its mainly dance stuff with a rnb/funk edge. pretty cool but alot of the album trax sound alike. "You Talking To Me" is by far the best on the album. in the video their dance moves r MJ all over... but there is also a couple of prince-esque "AAOOWA!"'s in the song. Xtremely funky & always gets me happy. so b4 u think "i heard this back in 86"... it is only 6-12 months old good 2 c another aussie act getting xposure overseas. :wOOt: ***************************************************************************************
