Ooooh, a duet between the two sounds really good!!! Two Queens definitely! Tina & Pat!!! (haha) I kinda like her songs too... [This message was edited Wed May 21 8:50:40 PDT 2003 by Starmist7]

Queen of R&B: Diana Ross Queen of Disco: Donna Summer Queen of Rock: Tina Turner Queen of Soul: Aretha Franklin Queen of Quiet Storm: Anita Baker Queen of the Ballad: Patti Labelle Queen of Hip Hop: Queen Latifah Godmother of Neo-Soul: Meshell Ndegeocello Princess of R&B: Aaliyah Princess of Neo-Soul: Amel Larrieux The only thing is that if you have to say that Janet is the Queen of Pop, then Madonnna is Queen of Dance/Club and Electronic Pop, which gives her two more titles, so there! I really love Janet.

More than anything, I was responding to the implied suggestion that we exclude Aretha Franklin. I wasn't playing the race card. I was lobbying for Ree-Ree!! Sheesh!

Actually,Pat Benatar really is the Queen of Rock,as far as I'm concerned... "You're a real tough cookie with a long history of breaking little hearts like the one in me Before I put another notch in my lipstick case you'd better make sure you put me in my place" she's one tough chick

I think the number of names and opinions on who is the Queen of Rock shows that there isn't really a dominant female rocker that has the title by general consensus. When Tina Turner was performing, she basically was acknowledged as Queen of Rock. But nobody has stepped up to claim the crowd since Tina Turner.
And DO NOT nominate Avril LaVigne!!
