Laugh all you want to, but truth be told...they will be back next year!! They will clean a little house, and come October...the league will once again fear the only "team" that plays in L.A.!! Like I said...laugh it up now, because the only tears that will be shed next year are from the other teams in the Western conference!

Like I said...laugh it up now, because the only tears that will be shed next year are from the other teams in the Western conference! That's not a given. They do not have any salary cap to sign a major free agent and an old man like Karl Malone is probably not the answer for a team that appeared to be very old. They will still be contenders, but as Shaq is clearly on his way down I am not sure they win another title.

Anyone ever notice, in the post-game interviews, Shaq responds to an interviewer's questions by looking up and over his/her shoulder instead of looking directly down at them?
It's almost like he's reading cue cards...

Like I said...laugh it up now, because the only tears that will be shed next year are from the other teams in the Western conference! I agree. They will be back. Back after the Spurs/Nets finals hits an all time low in the ratings. David Stern will make sure things still go the Lakers "way" after they pick up a couple middle of the road free agents. Look, the only reason the Lakers lost this year is their team became a total joke. That team wouldn't have won 35 games if things were on the up and up. That is one of the weakest squads in NBA play-off history but when you allow people like Horry, Shaw and Fox and grab and hold whenever they damn well please you can go a long way. The Lakers run has been as legit as George Bush's last 3 years in the white house. Game 6 vs Sac last year and Game 3 vs the T-Wolves this year are just two clear examples of what's been the norm in the league since this 3peat started. You can't win a title with two players! It's never been done but for some reason this is out the window with LA. Shaq and Kobe aren't the only two great players to play on one team. There have been a lot of teams with better talent than this Laker team that never won. Why? Because they didn't have the road to the finals paved for them like this team does/did. I respect the old Showtime Lakers but this team and the NBA has just become a joke. Shaq didn't cry. Kobe and Fischer did. Fischer even did that little "I gotta catch my breath" thing that 7 year olds do after gettin a whippin. Crying like bitches cause they lost in the 2nd round! But that's what spoiled children do. Time to go to "daddy" Stern and tell him you gonna hold your breath unless he sends them Karl Malone. It seems to get that way once a team dominates as much as they did. Say what you want, but this Laker team will be placed amongst the GREAT teams in NBA HISTORY!!! I've NEVER seen a team as dominant as the one that went 15-1 in the playoffs (finishing off the Sixers in 5)a few years ago. As far as the cap is concerned...the Lakers have the exception, as well as 4.5 million dollars to sign 1 or 2 marqee players (Malone, Mourning, PJ Brown, Payton, take your pick) and win now when Shaq is still dominant, and Kobe is hitting his prime!! And, you can forget all about that "conspiracy" ratings shit. Tell that noise to Oliver Stone. The Lakers will pick up where they left off next year, and the parade will once again run through downtown come June '04!!

More LOSERSPEAK whining about the refs.
I always notice how the people who constantly whine about game 6 of the WCF last season will NOT say one word about how that officiating was equally as inept in game 5 when LA lost, simply because it pains them to be objective. You got in game 5 exactly what LA got in game 6; and any objective basketball observer knows this to be a fact. And for anybody who doesn't remember game 5, it's because you don't want to remember game 5. The better team always wins a series because there are terrible calls on both sides and that's the way its been for eons. Anyone who says anything different is deluding themselves with sore loser whiny mentality. Only a new NBA fan doesn't realize it. If Sacramentucky could make their free throws in pressure time they would have had a chance. It never fails; the refs will be in an anti-Laker fan's head win or lose. A year later and I'm still hearing The Loser's Lament about the refs. refs, this, refs that, refs, refs, refs......Loserspeak, ALL of it. £ [This message was edited Fri May 16 18:48:47 PDT 2003 by Supernova] This post not for the wimp contingent. If something isn't fair , it just isn't fair. I won't even address the whinning statement, other than I call em as I see em so call it what u wish. Don't forget Shaq implied the refs were "cheating" for the Kings after game one. We all know this was nothing more than a ploy to get inside the refs heads and set up what would later go down in game 4 and 6. That's right game 4. That was a joke as well. The Kings had built a 22 point lead unilt the Lakers were allowed to play a game that looked more like football that basketball in the second half. Laker fans kill me with the "game 5 was as bad as game 6" shit. The Webber pick on Fischer could have gone either way true, but that's one call out of many that did go the Lakers way. And yea, Sac should have hit their free throws in game 7 (which was the best officiated game of the series) and that would be it. But there should have even been a game 7 in the first place. That's like winning a bet betting on black then not being allowed to remove your money, so forced to bet again you move your money to red. After it comes up black again you're told you should have bet on black LOL Jesus man the series was over after game 6 without that bs that went down! Look, no matter what anyone says you will go right on believing the Lakers are treated like any other team. Most of us that are objective, and again I am objective KNOW otherwise. I had nothing against the Lakers prior to the Lakers-Blazers game 7 4 years years ago. Nor am I a Kings fan. Dude when Ralph Nader calls for someone to look into the goings on of game 6 vs the Kings last year, it's clear something is up. Maybe you forgot but IT WAS THAT BAD! The Lakers 3 year run was shadey and that just topped it off. You don't have to buy the arguement but please don't try and sell me that the Lakers were jobbed in game 5 last year. Home teams tend to be favored but never to the extend of what went down in that game 6. The Lakers got what they deserved last night. It's just too bad the NBA won't let them stay down for long. Oh well, some of us long time NBA fans can enjoy some real basketball for the rest of this year at least. Bringing Together Five Decades of R&B/Funk/Soul/Dance

Blah, blah, blah.
You keep right on whining about the refs all you want, and in turn denying what went on not only in game 5, but other games. I'm not going that route, because I don't succumb to LOSERSPEAK. I see these games on tape, I don't need a play by play in black and white text. And you think bringing up Ralph friggin' Nader is validation? You seem to be missing the point. Nobody said there weren't bad calls. Where was Nader after game 5? Exactly. ALL playoff series have bad calls on both sides. Anyone who doesnt' see it doesn't see it because they don't want to. Point blank. Ahhh, here we go with another refs this, refs that complaint; for accuracy's sake, it was not a 22 point lead, it was a 24 point lead in game 4. Any team that can't win after having that type of lead... Spare me your crybaby EXCUSES, all these anti-Laker fans sound pathetic with their whining and moaning about refs. Just admit you're sick of them winning - there's nothing wrong with that, it's natural. The fact that you deny game 5's bad calls is symbolic of your bias. But don't tell me any team won a series because of the refs, that's what's foolish and frankly in denial. A series is just that, a series. You get multiple chances, as opposed to one game in football. Any fan that despises a team to the extreme that some fans do aren't capable of being objective anyway, and a lack of rationality exhibited means my work is done here. Keep up the Loserspeak Whining, now. I know you can. the refs, the refs, the refs, whaaaaahahahaaaa [This message was edited Sat May 17 18:51:13 PDT 2003 by Supernova] This post not for the wimp contingent. [This message was edited Fri May 16 14:16:26 PDT 2003 by intha916] mistermaxxx

Fuck the Lakers Sounds like a "Laker hater" to me!! The Lakers will pick up where they left off next year, and the parade will once again run through downtown come June '04!! mistermaxxx

Can't blame intha916 he lives in SACTOWN...remember last year...they will never forget how the LAKERS did them...but hey that was sports this is rap music we're talkin about here right? BTW have you ever seen or heard KOBE's album??? Who said I was a Kings fan? Just because I live in Sac doesn't make that true and even if it was that still doesn't change what I saw in game 6 last year. It wasn't just Kings fans who were outraged by that joke. And for the record I grew up in Oakland and am a Warrior fan. Hasn't been easy but I stick with my team. So stop all the "they hate us because we win" and "the are kings fans and mad cuase they lost shit" Kings were a better team than LA last year just as Portland was better 3 years ago. Root for your team but don't try and sell us on the shit being legit. The shit is and has been faulty And I'll pass on Kobe's album but I actually like Shaq's TWISM produced by quick lol mistermaxxx
