Who knows Jazz Guitar? I know very little about Jazz Guitar and great jazz guitarists. I'm looking for some blazin' work by anyone you think really has skills.
While I would like the song to sound good of course, I'm more concerned with the technical bravado of the guitar work than the overall sound of the guitar. I've recently been digging on Django Reinhardt's stuff, but I would like something with a cleaner sound. If you can think of any artists largely influenced by him, that'd be great. But... I'm open to anyone. Thanks, sav "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. Sometimes I feel Jazz guitarist can get a little lazy in the way they record albums. When you listen to who is considered top niche today all they sound like is a rip-off of George Benson. I own I lot of well known Jazz guitarist albums, but the one that keeps me happy is Jimmy Bruno's MIDNIGHT BLUE.
Check Ebay or half.com they might have it cheap. | |
