The Roots came through Rochester NY last night and put on a smokin set and the local college RIT last night. Now I have heard them live before but this band blew me away with the musicianship last night. On top of that once the show started there was no pause until the show ended 2 hr.s later. Lead MC Black Thought is really underrated but he is clearly one of the best mc's around right now and can rock the set in concert. All musicians got a chance in the spotlight with solos that went from Jazz to Blues. Check out The Roots if they ever come to your area because they are kicking the roots of real hip hop alive!!!
