I have the KC version and the McCrae version and that is my favorite KC song. Do you know who recorded it first?

Casey & Finch did I get lifted & Rock your baby 4 George McCrae in 1974.
KC & the sunshine band did their versions the year after but with the same dudes playing.Another Miami act Latimore recorded his version of I get lifted in '77 but I think the best 1 is George McCrae's. /peace Manki

McCrae's is a little more soulful, KC's is more disco and the one I like to dance to.
