My guess is that her record company made her get all poppy, but according to her website,she was going for "more lyrically driven pop" and her latest video is supposed to be a joke...sort of...  | |

Well I was surprised too, I like Jewel too, Im not worried about this image change because thats what that song is about "sell your skin". I think JEWEL is taking a shot at corporate america and how we sell everything from JEANS to CARS to SEX to WAR and we always buy it up. However I dont think u will see JEWEL in concert with light shows and 100 dancers an her swinging above the crowd half naked. I think JEWEL has a great body though and should not be ashamed of that, and if she wants to "sex it up" thats her choice, thats why she is an artist and Im sure she realizes the whole double standard that a guy could do SEXY videos and no one even talks, so i say do what makes u happy and just make a good album which she usually does and from what Ive heard of the new one, its different but it has more varied types of music.
