MADONNA TO TOUR! for real this time :)

from www.madonnarama.com - the first news item.

Madonna today confirmed that she would be touring in 2004 today during the taping of two performances for the show CD:UK.

The Madonnarama team were there to see her record (lip-synch) 'American Life' and 'Hollywood'. During a short interview, Madonna told presenter Cat Deely how she planned to hit the road next year.

The performance of 'Hollywood' was particularly good, with Madonna looking more beautiful and relaxed than ever!

woot! Sounds great except for the tour-lip-synch part.

That doesn't have anything to do with the tour. It was part of a television taping. She announced the tour plans at this recorded event, that's all.

No, I mean she's really touring. I started a thread last week asking what you'd like to see her perform if she did tour.

After her live singing on the Jonathon Ross show tonight in the UK (she sang American Life, Hollywood, and Don't Tell Me), I think I'd rather see her lip-synch.

She was badly out of tune on all three songs, it was the worst performance I've ever seen her do.

The one positive about the performance was that the rap in Maerican Life sounded 10 times better live than on record, you could really hear the feeling behing the words.

oooh yeah!

this time I'm going to get decent seats.

last show I was literally ONE ROW from the top of the stadium, on the front of the stage, so as far away as was possible...my take on it was I was "far enough away to enjoy the whole 'spectacle' of the show"

smile

next time I wanna SEE HER!

This is GREAT NEWS! When she toured in 2001,there were alot of complaints from fans regarding the lack of old songs performed, and the fact that her tour skipped many states and countries. This time around, she can do it right.I hope she does a long, extended tour (6 months or so) so that all of her fans around the world will get to see her.She has a multi-disc box set due in December. What better way to promote it than by touring?

I wonder if Donna and Niki (her longtime backup singers) will be joining the tour? I love those girls too! I predict that at least one segment of the show will be an unplugged/acoustic part, with Maddy playing guitar on songs like "Nothing Fails" and "Love Profusion".That will be interesting.

After the tour,it is rumored that Madonna's next album will be the movie soundtrack to her big screen musical that she wants to film next year. It's called 'Hello Suckas' and she has already started writing the songs for it (the script is already done). But I'm much more excited about the tour!!!

She did it perfectly with the song selection on the "Drowned World" show!

That was the big difference between what made Madonna's shows great and Prince's shows mediocre that year.

Oh yes,I agree. But many other fans were disappointed that she didn't include more old songs.I think it was bold for her to do a tour that focuses on her more recent, more experiemntal material. But,I gotta admit,it would be fun to hear some oldies like "Like A Prayer" and "Cherish" again.

Are you and Tron ready to spend a fortune again? I know that you guys are gonna get front row seats, right? wink

We'll see if I can go. I hope it doesn't coincide with when I teach. I want to see her again, certainly.

FINALLY! Some sane, rational opinion!
She really needs 2 wok harder with this material 2 put it across live.
She's got a lot of work 2 do. But 2 be fair, i think she knows this.
