Sheila E on Tiny Desk

No Prince music.

No Prince mention.

Just tequila from a mini dixie cup.

Sheila was recruitted by Prince because she's a great musician from a musical family. She's not defined by her time with Prince even if it's the most popular era of her career.

At 67 and this tiny desk concert is her first Salsa album and second time the music has been performed. It's interesting for her and extremely well done. This is coming from someone who loves Salsa music.

I absolutely agree with S2DG

She remained that Latino artist.

No matter what she has said or done, this 67 yo lady is such a pro and she proves it right there.

This concert is tight, light, fun, why not?!

And, she is really well relaxed, kept her voice. performs at ease, and doesn't need to proof anything to anyone.

I don't care what bullshit she might've sayd, Sheila is much better when she plays Sheila instead of Prince's (tunes). Her blood's too much Latino to play 'Let's Go Crazy and "The Glamorous Life' (again and again).

Love what i heard and saw here.

And Tiny Desk is always great, really always. I love it. smile

As it is for most, I guess.
To be honest, neither do I.
That's why we are Prince's fans. wink
We're all here because we love Prince music.
I personally never listen to salsa or any kind of Latino music.
So this was the first time I really enjoyed it.
I'm going to check out her new album.
