this one is not exactly "new" music, but I wanna check out the latest from-the-vaults release from Chicago. It's a previously unreleased live recording from 1971,now available as a 4-LP vinyl set or on 3 CDs.Notably, this is the concert where they performed "Saturday In The Park" for the very first time. The song had not even been released at the time of this show.As a huge fan,I'm very impressed with all of the live material that Chicago has been releasing.Just a few years ago, they released the 16-disc (!!) Live At Carnegie Hall box set.

Chicago At The John F. Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts, Washington D.C. (9/16/1971)

Besides the annoying bot response I am looking forward to the next Larkin Poe album"

Larkin Poe Announce New Album 'Bloom'

But the new one that is still doing it for me is the latest Lenny Kravitz LP:

Truth be told, I take what new music comes, but I’m
all about rare, live and unreleased.

This is the longest Stevie Wonder has ever gone between new album releases - almost double his last stint. He hasn’t retired, still performs and tours, does tons of appearances and writes and records with others. He releases singles. But he won’t release an album. I respect it, but I’m also selfish. Also, he’s had no reissues with bonus or unreleased materials.

So the Prince releases have often been what I look forward to the most.

speaking of Stevie Wonder, there is a new podcast that I’ve been wanting to sit down and listen to.I believe it’s on Spotify or SiriusXM.Michelle Obama and Questlove are involved somehow.

For real? or just virtual insanity ? biggrin biggrin biggrin

If true, I very much look forward to this - hopefully it mixes funk monsters with some cool acoustic version a la Love Foolosophy (Mondo Grosso Love Acoustic Mix)

I'm addicted to Lenny's new album. The best thing "new" (Not sure if its still new) thing I've listened to in a LONG time.

Yes,it’s for real biggrin Jay Kay mentioned it on social media and a band member (Matt Johnson) was shown in a clip rehearsing the keyboard lines from one of the songs.I’m hoping that we get a single before year’s end.I really enjoyed their last album Automaton.

Stevie recently confirmed that he is still working on a new album. It is titled Through The Eyes Of Wonder and was originally planned to be released by year's end.He just started a brief US tour,so maybe he's gonna wait until the tour is over before he drops the new album?
