Ticket prices are ridiculous. Especially through livenation. I'm getting up there in age, but I dont mind going out. I few shows I went to this year, the audience was more of the older crowd. I'm 50 and I was like every one looks older than me I will take my place, In the great below

And he's been hounding me to take him to a wrestling show next time they come to Ireland. When I started watching my girlfriend was like "why is the crowd cheering, don't they know it's all fake" 🙄 I say "Its entertainment, story lines" Fast forward to now, She is hooked and a lil more excited to go than me I wish it was a Monday night raw event. But I'm sure it will be cool Hopefully there are no more concerts or events this year because it adds up 💲💰💲 I will take my place, In the great below

There's me thinking that I could take him for a short holiday to Scotland and maybe attend one of the live events they have coming up but the prices are insane. The whole thing would cost me nearly 3 grand. I couldn't justify that kind of expense. So I'll stick with Taylor Swift. At least I'm getting in there for free

@ Shelly They were in Glassgow yesterday and today (for tv events) The crowd was High energy 😶 I paid around $100 each for our seats. We are front row in the upper level The upper level seats are a bit scary, My girlfriend started to have a panic attack at a show because it narrow and feels like you could fall off. But there is no need to stand as there is now one in front of you obscuring the view. Once the show started she forgot about it and was fine. Maybe one day can get better seats I will take my place, In the great below

The tickets I was looking at were ten times that . Goddamn it. That's what I get for leaving it til the last minute. I'll have to get in earlier next time. It sounds like you guys had a good time though, even if the seats weren't ideal.

It sounds like you guys had a good time though, even if the seats weren't ideal. The cheapest seat here were/are $25. Personally I wouldn't want sit there. There was some decent seats for $150 each *plus fees and tax almost $200 each. And I wasnt about to spend $400 for 2 seats Livenation let's you resell your tickets through their site. There are huge sections/areas of resell tickets with jacked up, outrageous prices 🙄 days after tickets went on sale, I went to see what was available. I was like f**k this, nope. Then my GF found a few cheap resell tickets. The wwe event is this coming September. We had nearly identical seats just 1 section over a week ago at the Janet Jackson show. So we know what were getting Btw the Janet Jackson tickets were $25 each, no service fee, no tax. The summer ticket sale event. The only reason we went. Hope you and your son get to go one day as well [Edited 6/17/24 21:31pm] I will take my place, In the great below

Saw this weekend Terence Trent D'Arby, or Whatever is name, at the Tilloloy Festival ( France).
He had hard time to connect with the audience. Beginning his setlist with obscure and ridiculous songs nobody knew such as " the birthday song" , " Mr Magoo", " Yuki Suzuki" didn't help. At last now and for the past year, he plays some of his classic songs : - Wishing Well - Sign Your Name - She Kissed Me - Supermodel Sandwich - Delicate - Holding On To Yo His band is a young italian rock band ( they must have 20 years or so), when his music needs more of a funk-band. They can't play clavier or guitar solo. How sad is that. TTDA himself wore a pull-over, sunglasses a d a beret during the whole show. He didn't move a lot ( later we wad Soft Cell and Human League leader, almost in their 70's , that had more energy on scene). He ended his performance on a terrible rendition of Holding On To You, which is suppposed to be his greatest moment ( nothing like he did back in 1995 in concerts). Then, he came back for an encore, and played alone on a piano that was hidden all this time, a beautiful rendition of Let Her Down Easy. [Edited 7/1/24 19:32pm]

ShellyMcG said: Some of you guys go to more concerts in one year than I've been to in my life I'm going to Taylor Swift at the end of the month. I'm not even a big fan of hers. I can probably name 3 of her songs. But the tickets were free (a gift) and I'm going with my cousin who I haven't really seen in ages so it should be fun regardless. So now I can add Taylor Swift to the short list of concerts I've been to. And it was actually pretty good. I'm still not sure I really get the hype but it was a nice experience. She played all three songs that I know plus I vaguely recognised one or two others. But bloody hell it was long. I wasn't timing it but it was definitely over 3 hours. And it felt every minute of it. Two things stood out for me about this concert and neither of them are to do with the music. The first thing is that there were a group of girls right beside us, couldn't have been more than 14 or so, and they were absolutely hammered before the show even started. If they weren't so bloody annoying I would have been worried about them. The second thing is I was there with my cousin, the former orger, EmmaMcG. She is, shall we say, vertically challenged. So even though we were more or less near the front she struggled to see everything. And there was this gay couple behind us and one of them in particular was a pretty big guy. Without warning, he picked my cousin up onto his shoulders to give her a better view. Scared the shit out of me . They were lovely though. American guys. But my cousin will never be allowed to forget that moment Overall it was a pretty good show and I'm glad I went. But I don't think I'd go again.

I love to see Terence Trent d'arby. I only know his first 5 albums. Dont know any of his new stuff, post millenial rock @ shelly Glad you enjoyed the show My girlfriend loves Taylor. Nothing fanatical. We started to watch her 3+hour concert movie. It looked really cool. But she grew bored, after an hour or so she stopped watching A month or so we went to some show. It started at 12:30 pm and ended after 9 pm. We were hot, hungry, exhausted, a bit sunburned. Had no clue it would go all day. I learned a lesson about these day long shows Yup! drunk, loud, anoying, laughing, walking back and forth. It's a hit and miss at some shows. This Side of Love and To know Someone Softly...are great IMHO, they could be classic Prince songs and would be great on concerts.

It's a shame he wouldn't play his old TTD music live for years. He has some great music. As you say classics!. I seen a few YouTube videos where he now plays some of uis old track. Some of the new stuff I couldn't get into. But nice to see his finally play some of his older music I will take my place, In the great below

At least there's other things to do when you're at the show. And aside from those drunk teenagers the Swifties were kind of the highlight for me. That gay couple I mentioned earlier, Brian and...I wish I could remember the other guys name. They were lovely. They came all the way from America to see Taylor Swift. That's dedication on a level I just can't relate to . It kind of annoyed me when the guy whose name I can't remember asked if I had travelled from England to see the show. I'm Australian, not English. I don't even sound English . But he was so nice about it I couldn't really stay mad at him. But those girls. Bloody hell. I'm glad I have a son and not a daughter, that's all I can say.
