I have their latest one, but i didn't really had much time to listen to it; but it sounds quite cold. some nice tracks though, but i think i'm not in th emood for the "mood" of this record at thispoint; The HQ-er formerly known as krokostimpy.

I've been meaning to buy this album because a buddy has been giving it glowing reviews. Plus I heard it has three tracks with my girl Sinead on lead vocals.

My thoughts on their albums:
Blue Lines - Musically groundbreaking when it came out and very personal sounding. Contains one of the best singles ever released (Unfinished Sympathy) but feels a bit uneven on the whole. A terribly overrated album by some reviewers who focus on its role in music history as opposed to the quality of the actual music. Protection - Very slick, well-produced followup. No real complaints about any of the tracks, but no real standout tracks either (with the possible exception of Karmacoma). A solid effort that should be listened to as a whole, not as a collection of songs. Wonderful, wonderful singing by the world´s most underrated singer Tracey Thorne. Mezzanine - In my opinion their best album so far. The atmospherics are cool throughout, the beats hypnotizing and groovy, the melodies generally strong and memorable. A new instrument, an electric guitar, has been brought into the ensemble with wonderful effect. It´s only used briefly here and there but always in the right places, which is a sign of good taste. 100th Window - You can tell that there´s only one bandmember left (Robert Del Naja) on this, their weakest effort. The songs are too long, too repetitive, too flat atmospherically speaking and lack the multilayered feeling of their previous albums. Still, it´s definitely not a total waste of money. It works perfectly as background music and has head and shoulders above everything that all the Massive Attack clones out there can achieve.

What do you think of their new album? "100th Window" is a big disapointment. Two good songs, the rest shapeless meanderings that start in the middle and stay there. I hope the follow-up (due out later this year/early next year, featuring Mos Def and Tom Waits) is much better. Bring back Mushroom.

I like their albums although I haven't heard 100th window, yet.

They lost most of the band, that´s what happened. Del Naja simply couldn´t handle it alone. their in concert here in Nice in June.
Really? I´m actually going to that area by the end of June or early July. Which exact date is it going to be?
