Vernon Reid/David Byrne In the 1990s I had the pleasure of seeing Vernon Reid play with Prince in New York City. Recently writer Mosi Reeves posted a few old Musician magazine stories written by Greg Tate, one on a pre-famous Vernon Reid as well as David Byrne, James Blood Ulmer and Nona Hendryx.

Cool! Ive mixed feelings on greg tates writing, but hes important for black music journalism. Plus his burnt sugar band had some cool stuff. |

Sorry...I just saw this. It was at a venue called The Palladium. Today it's a NYU dorm. |
