C.K. is my musical mother. My favorite album is "Woman I Am" followed closely by "What Cha Gonna Do For Me". As Prince said, Chaka is the voice of life.

That RRHoF Performance was MESSY lol I love CK but goddam that was crazy with Sia's big ass head almost hitting CK in the face with the mic, the vibe was wild and chaotic. I enjoyed Common doing the I Feel For You rap but the other guests.... eh. Her acceptance/induction was cute af too "

I was raised on Chaka & Rufus, she's probably my all time favorite female vocalist! I could listen to her sing "Hollywood" everday for the rest of my life.

I've been listening to Chaka since the '70s. What a voice! She ranks at the top among my favorite female vocalists. I was thrilled when I finally heard her live in 2012. cool music

Performance was indeed messy - the BET 2006 performance was far better.

I cannot decide between "I feel for you" or "CK". hmmm But Prince , Miles Davis and Stevie Wonder are a strong argument for the later. music cool

Chaka & Bruce Hornsby doing "Love Me Still" is absolutely magical. Her delivery of these poignant lyrics are an absolute masterclass in how to pull on the heart strings. I love this song.

For the RRHOF, who chooses the performers? I have never heard of Sia. And C.K.'s apathy for the induction was apparent as there was no speech prepared which did not surprise me.

Well I guess Chaka chose Sia. Just read an interview they have been writing together and will release a collab next year. 🤔

.

Love Me Still is such a beautiful song, I actually put it on after I watched RRHoF and had a little emotional moment. Those harmonies.

I forget who here turned me onto this album or made me go and listen to it, but it's a fucking gem of a record. Front to back. Possibly one of her more perfect albums.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Chaka has a lot of albums in the can going back to the 90s. I would be more interested in hearing all of the vault material she has rather than anything new. Hello Happiness was a huge disappointment for me. I have heard some unreleased material from her 80s albums that the world needs to hear. Not sure why she is sitting on those treasures.

I would also like for her to gather up the songs from the Dare You To Love Me sessions and finally release it as a complete album. There are some really strong songs on that project.Warners were crazy to reject it!
