What recent album gets y'all going these dayze?

Man, is this place fading out... razz lol What new album or new performer/group gets you mojo going these days? Tonight it is old ass Duran Duran's latest album--the complete vinyl edition...and I love it! :lol:Of course, I saw them perform recently... cool What speaks to you these dayze?

Have you heard the remixes from Future Past? The new Pete Tong mix of Give It All Up is good except they almost removed poor dear Tove Lo from the rack. Erol Alkan's remix of All Of You is decent, better than the album track IMO.

.

Speaking of Tove Lo, I really enjoyed Dirt Femme from start to finish.

Not to derail this, but your comment interests me. Longtime fan that loved "Life Is Good", last album purchased was the Kanye-produced, and have always heard great things about each "King's Disease" but never purchased any of them (although Hit Boy continues to interest me as a beat maker/curator).

Might have to start with the 1st one over the holidays and take it from there...

Soul Revivers - On the Groove / Grrove Dub

Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero (gee, what a hook - can't get that out of my head)

Horace Andy - Midnight Rocker / Scorchers

Amber Mark - Three Dimensions Deep

Keb'Mo - Good To Be

Lydia Persaud - Moody31

All of them highly recommended - check them out and tell me what y'all think!

Nas' last 4 albums, all produced entirely by HitBoy, is the best work of his career...the main criticism of Nas thoughout his career, has been his beat selection...HitBoy has singlehandedly erased that "problem"...he has Nas sounding energetic and rejuvenated..

2020 Kings Disease
2021 Kings Disease II
2021 Magic
2022 Kings Disease III

all GREAT albums, with both Nas & HitBoy at the top of their game.

I've been going through music and replacing some of my old muisc with remasters.

Besides my Black Heat obsession that I've recently discovered (and can't get enough of), here's a list of new-to-me-stuff I'm digging:

Leroy Hutson

Earl Van Dyke

Sweet Vandals (great Spanish funk band)

Couple of Little Beaver albums that I haven't heard before.

Maggie is wonderful! I will check out the album before. BTW I told team Maggie the LP I picked up at the concert was scratched and they are sending me a new signed LP plus extras. I hope Maggie comes back here soon--just love "Have A Seat"--full album following: https://youtu.be/NqsQ8v-5A78

That's awesome! She has a lot of videos of the previous album on her YouTube page. That's how I became a fan. She also has a podcast and interviews alot of women artist. I've been dying to see her live, but she wasn't close. Glad you got to see her live. Did Greg Allman son perform with her?

Devon Allman did perform with her and Duane Betts was there, too. As well as many other Allman relatives and associates. My third year going to this Allman Family Revival and I enjoy it every year! Plus, they always introduce me to younger talented artists I'm not familiar with. cool

And there's a different order of tracks for the International Edition (same with Wildest Dreams). I have reconfigured my playlists to reflect the International Editions.

I Might Have Been Queen

What's Love Got To Do With It

Show Some Respect

I Can't Stand The Rain

Private Dancer

Let's Stay Together

Better Be Good To Me

Steel Claw

Help!
