Prince's 'Everday is a winding Road' by Sheryl Crow makes me wanna cut my ears off.

As does Louise Nurding's cover of 'Stuck in the middle with U' by Steeler's Wheel. Words cannot describe...

Spirit in the Sky-Gareth Gates and the Kumars, shit song 2 begin with, no need 2 add insult 2 injury. In fact that along with his monstrosity of 'Suspicious Minds' makes him evil in my book.

Lets also not 4get Will Young's take on the Doors' classic 'Light my fire'. Jim Morrison must be spinning in his grave.

Here's a pic of them both 4 U 2 print off and throw darts at 4 ur pleasure...

Whoever did that techno cover of Bohemian Rhapsody a few years back needs to be shot...

But the all time worst has to be Limp Bizket's cover of George Michael's Faith! barf

Yeah, that sucked but I really hate any cover song Prince ever did, especially One Of Us and La,La,La Means I Love You. He's too good for that stuff.

NO WAY!! This is an excellent cover, I think it's on par with the original.

There's a horrible new cover of 'Don't Dream It's Over' by Sixpence None The Richer (God do I hate them anyway); there's also an insanely pointless cover of 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic' by some soul-less folk bitch.

Rose Royce's "Wishing On A Star" - Madonna

The recent All Star version of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" - a bunch of current popular yahoos who were so forgettable I've forgotten their names.

Although I love her and most of the album this came from...Annie Lennox's version of The Clash's Train in Vain sucked the cannoli baby.

I like all the covers Prince did on Emancipation but Everyday is a Winding Road was god-awful.

Finally U2s version of the Beatles "Helter Skelter" on Rattle & Hum is frightenly embarrassing.

...who said the original version of American Pie sucked...i friggin love that song! Once it comes on the radio I have to listen to the whole thing no matter what...I do the same thing for Bohemian Rhapsody.

Also Limp Bizkits version of Faith is pretty rockin imo...I fuckin HATED GMs version...this version is much more my style.

peace

I'm with you on American Pie! Madonna should not have messed with such a classic rock tune. I mean she's good, but not that good.

I also agree on Faith. GM sucked on that song. He should be thanking Limp Bizkit. Take that JediMaster! lol

Yeah, that all-star version of Marvin's classic sucked ass. And another thing is, with all those "talented" artists in there, you would've thought that they'd come up with a creative new song. I mean look at "We Are the World" and "Do They Know It's Christmas?"

Maybe I'm getting the covers mixed up. Gawd, if she did "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" that just makes matters worse. All I can remember is that it was one of Rose Royce's ballads, I haven't heard it in ages.

Exactly. I guess it's indicative of the times. Those songs for famine relief were made from scratch, whether we liked the songs or not. The all star version of Marvin's WGO was lazy and took little effort to begin with.
