1) Janet Jackson inducted Jam & Lewis, and wore a hairstyle quite familiar to the Control album cover.

2) Andy Taylor, from Duran Duran, wasn't there, fighting metastatic prostate cancer, stage 4. Simon LeBon later said, "It is devastating news to find out that...a friend, one of our family, is not gonna be around for very long."

Cant wait to see the show on the 19th, I saw some posted clips many were from audience members and I hate camera shaky phone videos so I didnt get to see more. I saw alot of photos from the artists instagrams and most that got inducted or were inducting the person, I follow. I did feel really bad for DD because this was not known, they knew of health issues, but from what I heard they did not know it was something this far gone and terminal. Simon was visibly upset on the carpet afterwards because it seemed like all the questions coming at them were about that, and I am sorry but can you respect the artist and the moment, and not go for the soundbyte interview headline, reporters, not all, are just really shitty. To quote Simon, he said "I want to cry, and I don't feel like that is going to help anyone so can we just move on" people of course will take that and say he was being "nasty" but please, you just learn someone you spent a lot of time with, regardless of differences, he was going to be there, but now he is dying, lay off them.
