Thompson Twins, Lies.

Before they became more pop. True new wave:

Still my favorite Thompson Twins song.

I remember this, and soon after came "Fascination" by Human League. They were both so synthy, non-American, quirky and different.

"eye don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

Always dug this.

To me this and Bronski Beat's "Why" are among the most quintessential "new wave" tracks, even if bands like Ultravox and New Order have the better overall oeuvre.

The arrangement, production, however you want to put it, is sublime.

I'm just wondering why give this topic an icon thingy and then why doesn't it appear when the topic page is open.

Lies, lies, Lies is that the Thompson Twins song?Where the lyric goes lies, lies, lies yeah "they won't forget you" and then lies, lies, lies yeah "they're out to get ya"?

I reallyl love the Thompson Twins and I am glad I bought their album when it came out.

I have zero regrets that I lost most of the albums that I ever purchased but I get a good feeling knowing my mother kept some.

I tell you what, everybody thinks the era of their choosing is "THE" era but I had a thought one day watching people line up at a Tyler The Creator stadium show and it was that by appearances of all the people flocking to attend the show, I couldn't imagine any of the people having the same drive, passion, talent, as the people (my peers, lets face it) from the 80's. The fact that I could even compare such a thing is astounding to me.

Welcome to "the org", heartpeacesheart…
