If that is in reference to being killed while holding his gun not thinking it was loaded and yet one bullet was inside the chamber though he removed the clip and probably was drinking at the time, BUT lets look at the others Hendrix hmmm OD Prince OD seems to be alot of stupid guitar greats. |

Yeah. To shoot yourself in the head, because you have no clue about guns and think they are toys takes the cake. More stupid than any drug overdose. |

He's right after Prince and Al McKay as my favorite...Ernie Isley and Nile Rodgers...and lesser known, Emmanuel Rahiem Leblanc from GQ...and James Brown's guy, Jimmy Nolen...and Andy Summers from The Police...those are my favorites. [Edited 8/12/22 16:51pm] |

Im more into the funky scratching and rhythmic picking, than the showy lead guitar solos...im inspired and moved by the rhythm masters...Prince, McKay, Isley and Rodgers, were equally great at lead and rhythm...Leblanc, Summers and Nolen were mostly rhythm kings |

It’s hard for me to pick my favorite guitarist because I like so many. But Carlos Santana would probably be at the top of my list. |

I've seen him in concert many times and when he launches into a song like "Europa",it's almost like a spiritual experience. He's a true master of the guitar. |
