Wha Vinyl, Cassette, 8 Track, Reel to Reel or CD ya listening to!?" Parte Siete Org Fam Ok What ya listening to? GDโ. Last night... An Innocent Man is the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Billy Joel, released on August 8, 1983. The concept album is a tribute to the American popular music of Joel's adolescent years with Joel paying homage to a number of different and popular American musical styles from the late 1950s and early 1960s, most notably doo-wop and soul music. The album cover artwork was taken on the front steps of 142 Mercer Street, just north of the intersection of Mercer and Prince Street in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ Thrift bought awhile ago. A- condition. My favorite cut of this album is This Night, Leave a tender moment alone & Easy Money besides the others. Met Billy and his then wife Christy around this time period. He was a great regular guy and was Christy very sweet. Got their autographs on a paper. Billy said oh she is signing just Christy now. ๐ Joel started writing songs in the same styles as pop songs that he remembered from his teenage years, citing pop music from the late 1950s and early 1960s, including "early R&B songs and ๐The Four Seasons, and the ๐Motown music, ๐soul music." According to Joel, the various songs weren't meant to be autobiographical, and instead center around various made-up characters. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit whoโs never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

๐ฑ Thrifted today!!! I had this on vinyl. I recently was searching eBay for a good deal, but too expensive. Luck is on my vinyl side!โฎ๐๐ฏ๐ธ๐ค It's my second favorite album by him. Around the world in a day is my favorite. Got to see him live in NYC a bunch of times. I actually saw this album tour!๐ Anotherholeinthehead and Mountains my favorite on here plus others. So darn๐. Parade is the eighth studio album by American recording artist Prince, and the third and final album where the Revolution is billed. It also was the soundtrack album to the 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon, directed by and starring Prince. It was released on March 31, 1986 by Paisley Park Records and Warner Bros. Records. Parade was the follow-up to Around the World in a Day and the soundtrack to Prince's second film. The album sees Prince further diversifying musically, adding orchestrations to his music. Prince also displayed a new image with Parade: his trademark ruffled shirts, wild curly hair, and purple outfits, which defined his look from 1981's Controversy to 1985's Around the World in a Day, were replaced by slicked-back hair and dress suits. The first single, "Kiss", was a number one hit, and the album as a whole was well received in the United States. Europe further embraced the album, and for the first time in Prince's career European album sales eclipsed those in the United States. While Parade was the last official release with the Revolution, a follow up called Dream Factory was recorded. Its release was canceled when Prince disbanded the group.
