Beatles' documentary available Feb. 8 on DVD “Ever since Peter Jackson’s beautiful and illuminating docuseries debuted, we’ve heard non-stop from fans who want to experience its unforgettable rooftop performance in IMAX,” says Megan Colligan, president of IMAX Entertainment. “We are so excited to partner with Disney to bring Get Back to an entirely new stage and give Beatles fans everywhere a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch and hear their heroes in the unrivalled sight and sound of IMAX.” . The concert, which is included in its entirety in The Beatles: Get Back, will be optimized for IMAX screens, digitally remastered with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Remastering) technology. . A global theatrical engagement of the 60-minute feature, The Beatles: Get Back–The Rooftop Concert, will then run February 11-13. The complete docuseries The Beatles: Get Back will also be available on Blu-ray and DVD in the U.S. on February 8. . The Beatles: Get Back is currently streaming exclusively on Disney+.

The blu-ray set is region-free and comes with four collector’s cards. But there’s no bonus features, no original-cut of Let It Be (which was promised when Get Back was announced) and there appears to be no UHD 4K edition. The home video release news was almost a footnote yesterday, alongside the announcement that a 60-minute special: Get Back: The Rooftop Concert has been created for theatrical presentation in IMAX theatres in North American on 30 January. It will be interesting on the timing of the IMAX showing because of the covid numbers etc.... already artists have been moving january and february stuff till later spring some summer time. It will depend on your location as there are no lockdowns like we saw but there are ALOT of cancellations going on, Queen just cancelled there whole 2022 tour. Just got the Beatles Anthology docu-series DVD box set for a decent price on Ebay. Rhat should pair very well with the Peter Jackson series.

I'm sure the Blueray will be back in stock eventually... Stuff I thought was sold out on Amazon forever (like the Betty Davis LP "This Is It!") turned up later at a great price.
