SoulAlive	It is interesting to see,in this documentary,the various bands that Rick was involved with before he finally hit the big time in 1978.He was a very hardworking,motivated artist who was determined to make it.

I thought it was pretty good; respectful, well researched all while keeping it real.

It really gave me more of an understanding of the struggle and drive he had in order to be successful.

Felt for the people who loved him and those lost in his drive for success (including his kids).

Always loved his music and knew some of the story but this filled in some of the early gaps.

[edit] Oh yeah, that White Cane band was pretty kick ass. Never knew they existed...

Yeah its the best documentary on him so far went real deep into his roots than the other ones I've seen.

Damn never knew Rick had any R&B music out before his breakout on Motown in 1978. I know he did his thing briefly with the Mynah Birds on Motown which was not R&B. Damn he was on Polydor.

This track sounds like James Brown laced it. It was funkay though
