Well I saw this a few hours ago, I am not a fan by any means, so I had no clue she was even doing a LV residency and hearing the INSANITY of what people paid for a ticket, especially in these times when it seems shows are booked and cancelled or moved, but with VEGAS alot of people schedule things as part of a trip so this to me seems a LITTLE suspect. The reason is COVID amongst "crew" now I understand when you have a huge crew and set up this is going to happen, but like other things how do you NOT have stand bys also, how are you cancelling HOURS before opening that seems very fishy to me, as this may be more about HER not being ready to perform (WHICH HAS HAPPENED numerous times) to COVID cases in your road crew. Seems very odd and a tearful instagram post by her to me makes it seems more "rehearsed".

You probably shouldn't go to the show. Or honestly, even worry about it.

I know David Lee Roth cancelled his retirement tour earlier this month due to Covid concerns in

Vegas.

ALOT of the cancellations now are not COVID related they are lack of tickets sold "related" which the venues are blaming on COVID. The Adele cancellation a day before is very fishy, blame is covid but, makes no sense you cancel your residency and yet the Grammys now move to the same place? So I think all these cancellations are just using covid at times as the excuse but PEOPLE are weary, David Lee Roth cancelling was a combo of him possibly not being well, and also lack of ticket sales, KISS cancelled a whole thing too and now is suddenly doing shows elsewhere. I think performers especially that do bigger shows, that people are just worried about YOU cancelling, some are worried about covid, but I can tell you here in NYC small venues had no shows cancelled last year and this year when the OMNI variant was big for two weeks they just decided not to schedule shows during that period rather than book and cancel, people are tired of spending money and arranging trips especially with these vegas shows and then the venue cancels out and though you can get refunded its a pain in the ass. BON JOVI who are infamous for long tours and worldwide stuff, I think get the hint that world tours are probably not going to happen for awhile, and also realize you better cut down these crews, thats not good news for roadies but the more people you have on a crew the more risk involved in any way. So Jovi literally booked a 13 show 13 city tour 1 gig each city, I never heard a band like that, that tours non stop take the approach of, if we dont scale down tours we are never going to play live and people will never get a chance to see us again. So I know cancellations seem to be all over, but word to the wise, tour small, cut your crews way down, and stay pretty local, and look into the venues you are playing for cancellation history, some cancel if low ticket sales, and then BLAME it on COVID

If Broadway doesn't get its act together it's gonna have to close down completely and start from scratch!

Members of the Pussycat Dolls have released conflicting statements about the alleged cancellation of their highly anticipated and repeatedly delayed reunion tour.

Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger took to her Instagram Story on Friday to announce that the “tour dates had to be canceled” due to the “ever-evolving circumstances surrounding the pandemic.”

“I have invested a huge amount of time, creative energy and my own finances into bringing this project back to life, and while I’m naturally incredibly saddened by this decision, I am also very proud of what we were able to achieve in the short amount of time we had together before COVID,” she wrote.

Scherzinger, 43, concluded her statement by saying she “can’t put into words the amount of love, admiration and gratitude” she has for the girl group and their fans.

However, hours later, her bandmates Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta shared a joint statement on their respective Instagram accounts indicating that they were unaware of the tour being scrapped.

“We want to say how incredibly disappointed we are to learn of an announcement made on Instagram that the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour is canceled. As of now, there has been no official notification of that,” Bachar, 47, and Sutta, 39, began.

“Either way, it seems as though it’s the end of a chapter to an incredible, life altering experience filled with some awesome memories that we will forever be grateful for,” they continued. “To the fans, we love you. Trust us, this is not the outcome we had hoped for. We wanted it as much as you because we appreciate you all so much and it hurts our hearts you had to wait so long for an answer, but unfortunately it’s out of our control.”

Ready or not… they’re not coming.

The Fugees have been forced to ax their reunion tour due to the ongoing pandemic.

The formerly estranged hip-hop group apologized to fans Friday for backing out of the concerts, which were intended to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their critically acclaimed sophomore album, “The Score.”

“We anticipate and understand disappointment, but our anniversary tour will not be able to happen. The continued COVID pandemic has made touring conditions difficult, and we want to make sure we keep our fans and ourselves healthy and safe,” they said in a statement.

Band members Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel shared the news with fans on social media.

The Fugees disbanded in 1997, one year after releasing “The Score,” and reunited last fall for the first time in 15 years to help kick off the Global Citizen Live concert.

“We’re grateful for the special night we did get to share with some of you in New York, with that rare live moment,” they said in the statement.

“If opportunity, public safety and scheduling allow, we hope to be able to revisit this again sometime soon. Thank you for all your love and support throughout the years,” they added.

Each member of the band pursued solo projects after they disbanded, but rumors circulated that Jean’s affair with Hill contributed to the split. In Jean’s 2012 autobiography, “Purpose,” he accused the songstress of lying about the paternity of her child with Rohan Marley.

“She led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn’t forgive that,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, they aren’t the only musical act to cancel due to the pandemic. A tearful Adele announced that she was postponing her Las Vegas residency 24 hours before opening night.

“Half my crew, half my team is down with COVID — they still are — and it’s been impossible to finish the show. I can’t give you what I have right now,” she said.

New dates have not been announced.

Carlos Santana still has dates planned for later this month,along with February and March in Vegas I wonder if those shows are gonna happen.

Oddly last year I went to more shows than I ever went anytime in my life and trust me when you consider the Prince days i went to many shows overall. And being here in NYC some may think because of COVID lots got cancelled. I actually did not have ONE show cancelled or postponed last year at all. Now I basically go to small venues, for those of you who dont know NYC, I am talking about venues like The City Winery, The CUtting Room, Birdland Jazz club, the Blue Note, Rockwood Music Hall, Chelsea Table and stage, and some others, so I stay away from Larger places and General Admission venues, not because I am worried about COVID, I just got tired of BIG shows and venues and getting stuck behind people and paying too much for a ticket and not enjoying the show, and for Genereal Admission shows, I can go on for days about how I always despised them though I went to them, never again am I doing shows without seating. The biggest venue I am going to I havent been since 2018 when I saw the NPG there, and that is SONY HALL, I also saw the Revolutiion there, its a bigger venue that has a mix of seating and standing. I have a bunch of shows at these smaller venues lined up February through April so far, and so far nothing cancelled.

Some have done that, and for them it was so ODD to be doing a show to no one, and in some cases with a film crew as the audience, but this was pre-vaccine time. At this point with a vaccine, I think its just a matter of choice of what you want to do, the artists have a lot to think about. But as I said before if you are a big tour type artist, with crews and lights and all that, you better either do one niters OR tone these shows way down so you limit your crew. But its going to happen, regardless of vaccine and variant, someone is going to get it, I think way too many people there is going to be a COVID zero time and thats not going to be. Also in reference to your Pussycat dolls post about cancelling, there is a lot more going on then COVID and the Fugees who knows with them, COVID + Lauryn Hill = ME looking at another show because she is worse than a variant with getting things cancelled.

I kinda hope artists start doing pay-per-view concerts, like maybe the first or last show of thier tour, or just a big one-shot to promote a new album release.

Didn't Justin Beiber have a record breaking show with this method? (As did Dua Lipa)?
